Fire guts Folsom home | News
FOLSOM, CA - A Folsom fire official says an Empire Ranch home is a total loss after flames ripped through its two stories Wednesday morning.
The homeowner came home to find his home at 1717 Dornie Circle on fire.
Firefighters don't know the cause of the fire. Folsom Fire Department Chief Ron Phillips said residential fires in the Empire Ranch neighborhood are very rare because the development is fairly new. Tt was the first fire in Empire Ranch in his 10 years in Folsom, Phillips said.
Crews from Sacramento Metro Fire District and El Dorado Hills also responded to the two-alarm fire.
